  Electrostatic will cause -

ESD, the rapid transfer of charge between objects at diffferent potentials,

The energy of this fast transfer dissipates as heat,

Melt some critical part of components, gates,

ESA – Electrostatic Attraction (静电吸附)

EMI – Electromagnetic Interference (电磁波干扰)

Part A: Introduction of ESD

ESD damages -

A. Discharge: When two objects with different charges are brought together, the charges move between the objects until both objects have the same charges. This discharge will produce energy to destroy pathways and gates inside components.

It could damage on either objects through this unwanted and un-controllable discharge.

B. Fields: Electronic components damage from fields occurs from either current induced into the circuit or from discharge occurring from a charged object after polarization.

(Quality)

Parametrical failure - test ok at border limits, but then failed at stress test.

(Reliability)

Static Loss
